Friday Favorites: Fictional Couples

By: Cait Marie

Everyone has their favorite ships and OTPs. We all have that one couple we want together, even when they’re not. Even when we know they never will be. I’m looking at you, Drarry shippers. Here are my top five favorite ships (some are actually together, some are not):

1. Malec

Magnus and Alec
(Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare)

Come on, we all knew this was going to be my number one. Malec gives me life. I love them more than anything.

2. Feysand

Feyre and Rhysand
(A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas)

Again, not surprising. I’m obsessed with A Court of Mist and Fury because I love Rhys so much. He’s perfect and I love him with all my heart.

3. Warnette

Juliette and Warner
(Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi)

My heart literally aches at the thought of all they have gone through. The title Shatter Me is an accurate description for what Tahereh Mafi has done to me with this series. They are the definition of enemies-to-lovers, and everyone knows that’s my favorite trope.

4. Nessian

Nesta and Cassian
(A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas)

Yep, she “hates” him and they constantly fight, but I’m convinced it’s because they love each other. I cannot wait for the next book to find out what happens with them.

5. Marecal

Mare and Cal

(Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard)

I know a lot of people don’t like Cal, but I have yet to understand why. I shipped them from book one. An excerpt was released today from Broken Throne, and I was so giddy reading it. It brought back all the feels and I can’t wait for it to be released in a couple weeks! I may need to re-read the whole series soon.

  1. Haha, I knew Malec would be your number one. I can’t wait to read Red Scrolls of Magic and your Shadowhunter tweets are making me want to finally catch up with the tv show!
