Hi guys! It’s time for me to talk about what I’ve been reading this month. I’ve been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately, so I’m going to talk about those. I like to read multiple books at once, so I will list two for each. WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Dance With The Devil : A Dark Hunter Novel by Sherrilyon Kenyon

This is the third book in the Dark Hunter Series. I like to read them as pallet cleansers after I’ve been reading a particularly complicated book. They have Greek Mythology and modern day romance mixed together in one book, which I love. I hope I can read the next few books within the next couple of months.

The Battle For Metagore by D.L Stewart

This was one of my few experiences with high fantasy, and not an audiobook. I wanted to keep the plot and characters straight so I took my time with this one. I affectionately called it a baby Game Of Thrones because it had similar elements. You can read my review of it here.

What are you currently reading?

The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu

I have been wanting to read this for a while. I’m a huge fan of Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter Series. Magnus and Alec have always been a favorite couple of mine, so I’m excited to see their adventures together. It’s also narrated by B.D Wong, who is the voice of Li Shang in Mulan, so that’s exciting for me as well because it’s like he’s reading me a bedtime story. You can read my amazing friend Cait’s review here.

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

This has been in my TBR pile since the audiobook was released. It’s the second book in The Dark Artifices series. The audiobook is narrated by James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer). I’m excited to continue the series, but my reading kept getting interrupted by lack of headphones, so hopefully I can finish reading the book soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

This is the sequel to Lord of Shadows, and the final book in The Dark Artifices. I’m excited to see where everyone ends up.It’s narrated by James Marsters again, so I’m happy I won’t have to adjust to a new narrator.

Winter by Marissa Meyer

This is the final book of The Lunar Chronicles. I have had this on my TBR for literal years, and I finally have the book again. I’m so excited and curious to see what happens in the last book.

What have you guys been reading? Have you read any of these? Do you like audiobooks or do you prefer to read? Let me know in the comments. Happy Thanksgiving!!
