Happy fall/autumn, readers! With the new season upon us, it’s time for another seasonal TBR. Given that it’s the spooky season, I’m always in the mood for more horror, thriller, mystery, and spooky stories. That being said, here are some of the books that I hope to read this season.
Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes
I know I’ve read this, and mentioned it a few times already, but it’s still one of my favorite books! It’s a great pick for the spooky season and just in general.
Anatomy by David Schwarz
I was recommended this in a book recommendation swap in one of my book clubs recently. It sounds good, and while it’s not spooky sounding, it seems to have death involved so, works for me.
Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
Came across this one in the horror section of my library. It sounds really good and the wait time isn’t too long, so it’s a great fit.
The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean
This story sounds incredible! People who eat books and retain what was in them with a horror twist, yes please.
Sundial by Catriona Ward
I came across this one a little while ago, and it sounds really interesting and a little trippy. I think it’ll be a good read and perfect for the spooky season.
What We Harvest by Ann Fraistat
Idyllic tourist travel destination that is slowly being poisoned and destroyed, with two locals left standing to settle an unknown ancestral debt… brilliant!
