Mariah’s Review of “The Killer’s Girl” by Helen Phifer

By: Mariah Brown

If you are looking for my review on the first book in this series, search for One Left Alive by Helen Phifer or click here.

This is book two in the series, and I loved it even more than the first book. I started reading it with excitement as the first book left me wanting more mysteries and crimes to be solved. Who knew a big one would happen in their hometown again and Morgan would find out some life-altering news?

What I have come to love with Phifer’s books is not knowing who the perpetrator is until the very last minute of the book. I always suspect one person and then it turns out it someone completely different and who I am least expecting. I love a good mystery to a criminal case, and these provide me with hard thinking opportunities to see if I solve crime faster than the book.

I love Phifer’s approach to such serious topics like murder and crimes overall. There is a proper way to talk about certain things and it makes it go over smoothly. I love reading crime mysteries.

I also want to add a note in here that the title of the story is spot on and amazing for the book. I recommend reading the first one then this one to figure out why.

I definitely rate this book a 5/5 stars and will be finishing the rest of the series as quickly as I possibly can. I really hope Phifer comes out with more books in the series than just the eight that are out so far.
