WWW Wednesday: January 18, 2023

By: Manuela Soares

Happy New Year and Hump Day readers! We’ve reached the middle of another week which makes it time to catch up with what’s being read! WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw

This one is a carryover from last year that I didn’t finish. For all those Nightmare Before Christmas fans out there, after all was said and done, did you ever wonder where Sally came from? What her background might be? Well, wonder no more, as this story is all about Sally and inadvertently finding her beginnings. Found out about this thanks to booktube, and I’m enjoying what I’ve read so far.

These next ones are ones that I received either physical or digital copies of from the authors and R&R Book Tours to read and review. Keep an eye out for the reviews in the next couple of months!

Copper Waters by Marlene M. Bell

ARC of Woodborn by Heather Nyx

Shades of Night by Rachel Boucker

Unanimity by Alexandra Almeida

This one is really long and a bit slow going, but it is an exciting concept that I haven’t read before and it does stay engaging.

What did you recently finish reading?

I re-read Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie after seeing a video about Hook and how we don’t actually know his name. He may be known as James Hook, but that’s not his actual name, an interesting little fact that I never knew.

What do you think you’ll read next?

A Cut Twice as Deep by Wendy L. Anderson (I won a copy from the author during a book tour. Thanks, Wendy!) and an ARC of The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi (Thanks Goodreads Giveaways!).

Have you read any of these? What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments, and have a good week!

Happy reading!
