Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Reads for the First Half of 2022

By: Cait Marie

Top Ten Tuesday was a weekly post originally hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but it was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in 2018. The prompt this week is actually “most anticipated releases in the first half of 2022,” but because of my overwhelming TBR, I’m planning on reading a lot of books that are already out over the next few months.

So, in no particular order, here are the the top ten books or series I’m excited to read in the first half of 2022.

Queens of the Fae series – Melissa A. Craven & M. Lynn

I’m eagerly waiting for book 8 in this series, and I’m sure I’ll be anxious for 9 as soon as I’m done.

This Woven Kingdom – Tahereh Mafi

So, so unbelievably excited for this new series!

Shadow and Bone series – Leigh Bardugo

I’m determined to finally read the Grishaverse books!

Twisted Pages series – Elle Madison & Robin D. Mahle

I loved the first book in this series and desperately need to continue.

Cursebreakers series – Brigid Kemmerer

I absolutely adored the first book of this series too, so I really need to finish the rest.

Kingdom of Runes book 5 – Audrey Grey

I’m really, really hoping the next book in this series releases soon, but there hasn’t been any announcements yet. This is just wishful thinking.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians series – Rick Riordan

Another series I’ve never read that’s been on my TBR for years… I have the boxset now, so it’s going to happen.

A Psalm of Storms and Silence – Roseanne A. Brown

The first book was one of my favorites of 2020, and this was one of my most anticipated of 2021, but things got too busy and I didn’t get to read it yet.

House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas

I… still haven’t read this. I know I really need to, especially with the next one releasing soon.

Rise of the Vicious Princess – C. J. Redwine

I was so excited to hear she was releasing a new book! Can’t wait to read this new series!

What are you excited to read this year? Do you set reading goals? Let me know in the comments!
