Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Authors

By: Mariah Brown

There are so many authors I love to read, but these are my Top Ten Favorite authors who I always go back to.

Cait Marie is my number one go-to author when it comes to Fantasy and Romance. I have read all but one of her books. I have reread her Nihryst series more than once. I love how she writes because it grabs my attention right away. I cannot wait for her to release more books.

Laura Greenwood has become a new favorite author. She has written a lot of books, and I am really excited to read them all. Since they are shorter reads, it makes me go through them quicker. There are some series that I am waiting for new releases, and I cannot wait until they are out.

Tahereh Mafi is an author who was introduced to me, and I love her writing. I am really excited to be finishing up the Shatter Me series. I still have two books left, then I will be done and rereading them again.

J. K. Rowling is my go-to author, as she wrote the Harry Potter series. I have loved this series since I was 8 or 9. I constantly read it and listen to the audiobooks on repeat. She is an author who I will always love and never grow tired of reading.

Ted Dekker wrote one of my all time favorite books, Thr3e, and I will rave on him forever. I loved how he wrote this book and many of his other books. I am always looking for new authors similar to him.

Brigid Kemmerer has written a fantasy series called Cursebreakers, and it is wonderful. I am currently on the newest book in the series and cannot wait to finish it. This is a one I will be rereading because of how well it is written.

Dean Koontz has written many books. Every book I have read by him, I have loved. I am currently working on the Odd Thomas series. He has a lot of standalone books as well, so if you only want to read one you can.

Ronald Malfi is an author I just recently started reading, and I really love his books. They hold my attention very well and make me read long into the night. I love it.

Lee Child has written one of my favorite series, and I am not even done with it, called Jack Reacher. I love his other books too. He writes really well and makes things super interesting and active. Surprisingly, my mom is the one who recommended him to me.

Karin Slaughter is a new-to-me author, and I have fallen in love with reading her books. They have just enough mystery and thrill in them to keep me enticed. Once I have read more of her books, I get the feeling she will be a permanent favorite author.

Well thanks for reading my top ten favorite author list. If you have any recommendations for me after you have read this list, I would love to hear them. I am always looking for new authors to read and new books.
