I love all sorts of genres of books, but I want to discuss a few of my top favorites here and then get to know some of your favorites in the comments down below.
My first favorite genre is Suspense/Thriller. I love these books because they always keep me on my toes. I never know what is going to happen next which makes me want to keep reading. If you have any of these books that you would recommend, please let me know. I would love to read more in this genre. The perfect book that would fall under this genre is House by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker.
My next favorite genre is Mystery. I always love a good mystery book and have since I was a child. I love trying to guess who did the crime or caused the problem. My favorite mystery books are the ones where I am unable to guess who did it and it keeps me in the mystery longer. The perfect book that would fall under this genre is Three by Ted Dekker.
My next favorite genre is Fantasy. I love how these books take you into a whole new universe and you get to learn so much about the place the book is located. Some stories even have maps to help you keep the locations straight. This makes the books even more interesting. The best books that go under this category are The Nihryst trilogy by Cait Marie.
My next favorite genre is Horror. I love a book that can scare me and make me want to turn on the light to read it. I enjoy reading any horror books, even ones that may have gore in them. I truly feel that the more details in the book, the better it will be. A prime example of horror and a scary book is The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
My last favorite genre is Dystopian. I did not realize I liked this genre of books until a friend pointed it out to me. She told me that The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi were in this genre. I absolutely love these types of books, so if you have anymore to recommend please do so.
These are just a few of my favorite genres. I love reading a variety of books. Please, if you have any recommendations that are in these genres or even other genres, I would love to hear about them.
