A cinnamon roll character has three primary definitions. 1) A sweet, supportive, and kind hero. 2) A person who is perceived as being sweet and lovable. 3) A good person, sweet, kind, supportive, and too good for this world. Here are a few of my favorites because I feel I could write a pretty long essay on all of my favorites, so I had to cut several people, which killed me.

Alec Lightwood had an immense amount of responsibility put on him as the oldest member of his family. He was willing to deny himself happiness to fulfill family obligations. Even after he gets his family’s blessing to be with the man he loves. He’s still the same protective lovable big brother who tries not to wear his heart on his sleeve. I will defend him forever.
Hades – Hades X Persephone Series by Scarlett St. Clair
Hades is known for being the bad guy. He tricks the unsuspecting into impossible bets and takes their souls in exchange if they do not meet the terms of the bet. The truth of the matter is he gives people as much leeway as his position allows. He cares deeply for his subjects. He does unsavory things to get information he needs to help mortals.
Phillip Lavens from The Nihryst Series by Cait Marie
Phillip is the best friend to the royal family of Detmarya. I feel like he always gets dragged into crazy adventures by the people he loves. He’s always there to be a strong shoulder to lean on. The person who will teach you to throw a dagger even if it’s not proper for a princess. He will keep your secrets and never break his promises. He would scout the world to look for the people he loves without complaint. He is one of my favorite characters, and I will be devastated if anything bad happens to him.
