Happy Friday! This week we’re talking about mental health rep in books. Good rep in books is really important to me and so many others. Not only can it help readers connect to characters and stories similar to their own, but it can help fight harmful stigmas.

I haven’t read any of John Green’s other books but I thought ‘Turtles All the Way Down’ was good (as someone with severe OCD that’s significantly impacted their life.) As far as YA goes I also remember liking ‘Challenger Deep’ by Neal Shusterman, ‘Words on Bathroom Walls’ by Julia Walton, ‘Freaks Like Us’ by Susan Vaught, and ‘Highly Illogical Behavior’ by John Corey Whaley.
