Hello, hello! Welcome back to Functionally Fictional for another Tuesday post. As we usually do at this time of year, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and what I’ve read and what I wanted to read but didn’t, and I thought this would make an interesting post. So, here is my list of books that I wanted to read last year but didn’t, and want to read in 2023.
1. Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw
2. The Book Eaters by Sunyi Dean
3. Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
4. Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
5. Sundial by Catriona Ward
6. What We Harvest by Ann Fraista
7. Quarterstars Awakening by David L. McDaniel
8. The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi
9. The Lighthouse by Christopher Parker
10. The Ship of Dreams: The Sinking of the Titanic and the End of the Edwardian Era by Gareth Russell
BONUS!
Here are a few books I’m looking forward to coming out in 2023:
1. Looking for Jane by Heather Marshall
2. Camp Zero by Michelle Min Sterling
3. The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth
There are SO many books I just plain didn’t get around to. The Book Eaters would be on my list, too!
