Mariah’s Review of “Ethan’s New Mission” by Melissa Smith

By: Mariah Brown

This is the second book in Melissa Smith’s New Life Series, and it was great. It continued an amazing story with a great plot line and just put Ethan as one of the major characters in the book instead of Charlie like the first book. I enjoyed seeing things from a different character’s point of view. It made the story more intriguing.

I enjoyed how well written this novel was. I was able to get my suspense feel from this book because I didn’t know what was going to happen next. Melissa made a few twists that I wasn’t expecting for things to end up the way they did. My attention was captivated the entire time reading this book.

The character development was amazing as well because, as the reader, I really got to dive deeper into the characters’ emotions and how they felt about specific events occurring. To find out what those events are, read the book; it won’t disappoint.

The only thing I would have liked to see more of is more in-depth world development of the planet the characters are living on and not just of the house they live in and the main restaurant they go to. I’m craving more details on what it is like to live on this planet. I will say the places that were visited were very well detailed. I was able to picture everything in my mind, which made the book more enjoyable.

I give this book a 5/5 stars. It deserved every single one of those stars. If you like YA alien books, this is definitely the series for you. I have already started the next book in the series.

I received a free copy of the book for an honest review.
