Halloween has always been my favorite time of year. That being said, I love books with magical creatures. My favorites have always been stories about witches, wizards, and warlocks. Here are a few of my favorites and why I think they are amazing.
The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare
I love these books. Magnus Bane, who is a pretty important character in most of the books, is one of my favorite characters of all time. He always has a fun story or a cool entrance. I need to finally sit down and finish The Eldest Curses Trilogy. I’m excited to read about Magnus and Alec’s adventures together.
Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J Maas
The thirteen is the greatest coven of witches I have read about in the past decade. I love their sisterhood and how they work with each other. I also love when authors turn tropes on their head and the thirteen do exactly that.
Simon Snow Series by Rainbow Rowell
I’m not very far into this, but I know there are witches because it is a magical school. I’m excited to see the story continue and how the witches play a role.
Crescent City Series by Sarah J. Maas
Crescent City is another one of my favorite series because it has a variety of magical creatures. I hope the series gets picked up for more books because I need a book about the House of Shadow and Flame. This house contains all of the people in Crescent City who are considered witches, warlocks, and wizards with magic. The only person we know about so far is Hypaxia. I’m curious to find out more about her character especially since she is also an outcast among her kind.
These are only a few of my favorites. Have you read any of these? Who are your favorite witches, warlocks, and wizards? Let me know in the comments!
