Mariah’s Review of “Swords of Deception” by Rowan Staeffler

I have never read a book by Staeffler before, but can I just say, WOW! This book was amazing. It had the action and adventure that I was looking for in a book. I read this one all through the night and did not want to put it down. Once, I was caught off guard while reading it, which was a great twist.

The characters in this story were amazing. The plot line was great and very gripping. I enjoyed the world development when it came to the forest and, of course, the ship. It made me eager for more.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the ending because it was such a cliffhanger and I needed to know what happened next right away. I haven’t had the chance to read the second book yet, but I plan to very soon. Especially if it is as thrilling as this first book was and continues in the direction I think it will. Knowing the author, it won’t.

I fully give this book a 5/5 stars for being a huge excitement and dragging my heart all over. I plan to read more of this author’s stories, especially if they are anything like this one. I highly recommend this book and the author to my fellow readers.
