TBR Tuesday: August/September 2022

By: Stephanie Wyatt

I have been working my way through Sarah J Maas‘s body of work for at least a year. This list is all of the books I’m going to read this month and next. They are either parts of series that I’m finishing.

From Ash and Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I started this series a few weeks ago, and I’m still on the first book. I hear amazing things about it, so I’m hoping it picks up.

Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe

I am obsessed with Greek Mythology. Lore Olympus is a modern take on the story of Hades and Persephone. It’s a graphic novel too so you can read a couple panels a day before bed. I’m excited to read all of it.

Courting Darkness duology by Robin LaFevers

I received these as a gift for my birthday almost two years ago. The His Fair Assassin trilogy is one of my favorite series. These books are set in the same universe, so I am excited to see what new adventure awaits.

The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare

I bought Chain of Gold when it came out, but I still haven’t read it. I was obsessed with The Infernal Devices, and this is about their kids, so I fully expect to be enthralled.

Persephone X Hades by Scarlett St. Clair

I’ve heard this is a spicier take on Hades and Persephone, so of course I want to read it. I’m curious to see what different perspectives the author takes.

The Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn

I have been listening to The Duke and I on and off for the past few months. I like the differences from the Netflix series, and I’m excited to read the rest of the series.

Queens of the Fae series by M. Lynn and Melissa A. Craven

I have the first four books on my Kindle right now. I finished Fae’s Deception last week, and I’m obsessed. I love the authors’ take on the fae and cannot wait to read more.

The Missing Crown by Cait Marie

I am fortunate enough to be in a beta group for this one, and I am so excited to see the story of The Nihryst continue.

These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan

The only thing I know about this is it has fae in it. I keep seeing them recommended in various book groups and found them on Scribd. I’m excited to see if I agree with the hype.

The Simon Snow trilogy by Rainbow Rowell

Fangirl is one of my favorite books ever. It had snippets of Carry On, the first book of the series, in it. I love when characters in stories write books and then the author writes their book. Also, it is an LBGTQ+ friendly version of another beloved boy wizard. I found the first two on Scribd as audiobooks. The beginning was interesting, so I am intrigued to hear more.

Have you read any of these? What are you excited to read this month? Let us know in the comments!
