TBR Tuesday: August 2021

By: Cait Marie

I’m finally reading a lot again! I finished 14 books in July! Granted, three of those were short stories and two were my own book while editing/proofreading, but that’s still a lot for me. In June, I think I read like three total.

So, here are some of the books I’m hoping to read or finish this month (not including the 5+ I need to edit/proofread)

The Promised Prince – Kortney Keisel

I finished the first book, The Rejected King, last month, and am already enjoying this one. It’s a fun YA dystopian royalty series. Read my review for book one here.

Things We Couldn’t Say – Jay Coles

I recently received a paperback ARC of this to review for YABC, and I’m very excited to jump in soon! It releases September 21.

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare

I’m finally reading this book!! I fell so behind on Shadowhunter books…

Chain of Iron – Cassandra Clare

Clearly if I read one, I’ll have to keep going. I’m listening to the audiobooks, which is a lot quicker for me, so it shouldn’t be a problem getting through both.

When Worlds Collide – L.J. Higgins

This is another one I need to review for YABC. I don’t know much about it other than they time travel via balloon, and I saw something about pirates in a Goodreads review. Obviously I have to read it.

House of Earth and Blood – Sarah J. Maas

I think I’m going to finally attempt to read this! I tried when it first released, but it was too intimidating, especially during a slump.

Counting Down with You – Tashie Bhuiyan

Another paperback ARC I received to review for YABC, though the book is out now. I’m going to need a cute romance to balance out the fantasy.

This might vary because I’m a mood reader with a TBR pile the size of a mountain, but hopefully I get through at least a few of these. Especially the YABC books. I’m so behind on reviews.

Let me know what you’re all hoping to read this month in the comments!
