WWW Wednesday: June 16, 2021

By: Manuela Soares

Happy Hump Day, readers! We’ve reached the middle of another week which makes it time to catch up with what’s being read! WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Still working my way through these:

Sunflower Sisters by Martha Hall Kelly

The Deep by Alma Katsu

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

The Historians by Cecilia Ekbäck

I’m also re-reading The Girl Who Came Home by Hazel Gaynor. I read this a few years back and loved it, so I decided to pick it up again.

What did you recently finish reading?

An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

Though it covers a lot of important and relevant topics for today’s climate, this was not a story that I enjoyed or liked very much. It’s rare that I have to force myself to finish a book, but this one just wasn’t cutting it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m still waiting on Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows duology from my library (gotta love popular books right?!), so whenever those come in. I recently got a book rec from a book club I’m in, so I’ll either be reading The Arctic Fury by Greer Macallister or Asylum Harbor by Traci Hohenstein, just depends on what my library has.

Have you read any of these? What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments, and have a good week!

Happy reading!
