I’m visiting some family for a few days on vacation. Vacation for me usually involves reading, so here are ten books I hope to read this week.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians by Rick Riordan
One of my nephews has this series, so I borrowed it for the week. I’m 80 pages into The Lightning Thief and I’m excited to see how the story progresses throughout the series.
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas
I am almost halfway through this book. I love it so far. I just keep reading other books first. I’ll probably listen to the other books if I can find them on Scribd.
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
I bought this a few years ago, and I wasn’t caught up with the series, so I didn’t read it yet. I’m excited to see how the series ends.
His Fair Assassin trilogy by Robin LaFevers
I received the Courting Darkness duology for my birthday. I’ve been thinking about rereading this before I jump back into that world again.
Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer
I bought this series for my birthday after I read A Curse So Dark and Lonely last year. The protagonist has Cerebral Palsy and doesn’t feel helpless or sorry for herself. It’s refreshing to see characters who are disabled in fantasy. I’m anxious to get back to the Kingdom of Emberfall.
Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi
I started listening to this a few months ago. I’m curious about the main character’s powers. They seem like they could be dangerous, but normally, dangerous powers/people get turned into weapons, so I’m curious to see where this author takes it.
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I loved the first three books in the Lunar Chronicles. This isn’t a part of that series, but it’s the story of how the Queen of Hearts became the queen we all know. I love back story novels.
Landline by Rainbow Rowell
Okay, I know I’m cliche, but I love Fangirl and Elanor & Park. I’ve read that two characters make an appearance. I know it’s stupid to read a book for two characters, but these are my favorite, so I don’t care.
The Last Hours by Cassandra Clare
This is the sequel series to The Infernal Devices. I loved all of the characters, so I am excited to read about the next generation.
The Duke and I by Julia Quinn
I watched Bridgerton on Netflix like the rest of the world. This is the first book in the series.I’m debating whether or not to finish it now that I’ve watched the show. I hate not to finish books, but this may be one of the few where I just watch the show.
Have you read any of these? What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments!
