WWW Wednesday: October 7, 2020

By: Stephanie Wyatt

Hey guys, happy Wednesday!! I have hopped from book to book without actually finishing anything. Here is a look at my reading adventures. I read multiple books at once according to my mood. I will probably list one or two books for each question.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The Betrothed by Kiera Cass

I am about halfway through listening to this. I think the characters are interesting, and I love stories with royalty. I’m anxious to see how the book ends. I think it’s one of the most realistic portrayals of royalty in YA. Hollis doesn’t really know if she wants to be royalty, and that’s refreshing to me.

These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch

I just started this book, but I am excited to continue it. It seems like the world building is intriguing. I also feel like pirates could be a thing, and I am always excited to read another book with pirates in it. I also like books where the history of the world helps form the plot, so I’m curious to see how the story will unfold.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas

I bought this last year, and I haven’t actually touched it yet because I wasn’t done with Tower of Dawn. I’m excited to see what happens to all of my favorite characters.

A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A Brown

I found this book when I was browsing the Kindle store. It tells the story of two rival kingdoms. The two assassins from the rival kingdoms have assignments to kill each other, but they end up falling in love. It’s a debut novel which also makes me happy because I don’t read that many debut novels right after they are released. I’m excited to join the fandom.

Have you read any of these? What are some of your favorite tropes? What are you reading? Let me know in the comments, and have a good week!
