WWW Wednesday: December 11, 2019

By: Manuela Soares

Hello everyone, it’s that time of the week again where one of us posts what we’ve been reading over the last little while. WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words. Here’s what I’ve been reading.

The Three Ws are:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Right now I’m reading several books, first is Cravings by Chrissy Teigen – her twitter makes me laugh so much and when I saw my library had her first cookbook, I checked it out immediately; her personality shines through her writing and it’s fabulous!

The next book I’m working my way through is Phantom Evil by Heather Graham – I randomly came across one of her books a few years ago and really enjoyed it, so I always look forward to her books when I come across them; thankfully my library has a decent selection of them.

I’m also listening to The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris, read by Richard Armitage, and a BBC Radio & Full-Cast Dramatization of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

What did you recently finish reading?

Other than a ridiculous amount of fan fiction and a few more chapters of my communication textbook, I finished re-reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and The Lost Child by Emily Gunnis.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’ve got more books on my TBR list than I can physically read in a year, so depending on my mood, I think I’ll read one of these, Their Lost Daughters by Joy Ellis, If She Knew by Blake Pierce, The Missing by Caroline Eriksson, translated by Tiina Nunnally, The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco, or start the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas – I’ve heard nothing but good things about it and my library has it, so why not give it a go?

What are you reading or wanting to read next? With the year quickly coming to an end, it means a whole host of new books are on the way and new reading goals are to be set. Did you meet your 2019 goals? What books are you most excited about in the upcoming year?
