*THERE ARE SPOILERS FROM A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES*
I feel like my brain just exploded and my heart has swelled to something larger than the mere pericardium that holds it now. A Court of Mist and Fury has left me as a wraith, ready to haunt on to the next book. Feyre has become this broken shell, a woman who died and has come back as immortal, the problem is she requires Dr. Phil help in the worst way. Tamlin, the beast who we thought originally gained the princess turns out to be a broken puppet. The friends we made in the first book become the monsters as Feyre has to rebuild her sanity, not quite alone.
Here in book two we fall in love with an entire new set of characters, and learn our true love for the stars. As the story climaxes at the last 200 pages, I felt like I have never cried during a love scene before. Screamed out “What?!” around 4 or 5 times; scaring my cat. You know the last 200 pages it reaches an apex; the story then falls or rushes towards an ending. Let me warn you now that this story doesn’t reach its peak until the next book. It didn’t leave me hanging, but it left me in a puddle. Yes, it ends, ready to move to the third book, but I was breathless by the end. I need book therapy.
