Am I really going to kiss my boyfriend’s best friend? Yes. Yes, I am.
I caught my boyfriend cheating on me with his best friend’s girl.
Now his best friend and I have a plan to play them like they played us.
There’s only one problem. Everyone knows Zack and I can’t stand each other.
The uptight princess and the slacker bad boy? No one will believe we’ve suddenly fallen in love.
But Zack says we don’t need to sell love, just lust.
And that, it turns out…
That we can do.
So I tell him I’m in. I’m down to make my ex pay.
His smile turns wicked as he wraps his arms around me. “That’s my girl.”
“I’m not your girl,” I say.
His eyes darken and he tugs me close. “You’re not his either.”
Review
I. Loved. This. Book.
I haven’t been reading a lot of YA lately, but I am a huge fan of Maggie’s and was excited to read her newest romance. It absolutely did not disappoint. In fact, it reminded me why I enjoy YA romance so much.
Like I said, I’m a big fan of Maggie’s. I’ve been reading her books for years. But this one just… hit a different level. It was so fun, and the tension between the characters was perfect. The banter was bantering, my friends.
Bailey and Zack have been neighbors forever and used to be best friends. When Bailey got a boyfriend freshman year, she kind of shifted her entire life to revolve around him. In the end, it resulted in Bailey and Zack becoming enemies. When they find out their significant others cheated on them with each other, they decide to work together to get revenge.
This book was so light, yet also heartwarming. I genuinely enjoyed every second of it, and it was difficult to set down. It was easy to get sucked into the story. I needed to know what kind of shenanigans the two would get into next.
It’s definitely one I would reread in the future. If you enjoy YA and/or clean romance, I highly recommend How to Get Revenge on a Cheating Ex. It was fantastic and gets all the stars.
