I always like to plan my reads for the year, and I add in books as I discover them. This is my current list for 2024.
Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi
I started this series last year and kept having other books that needed my attention. I am finishing it this year though.
The Scholomance Trilogy by Naomi Novik
I was recommended these books by a friend. The first book, A Deadly Education, was available on Spotify Premium and under the complementary 15 hours for Premium subscribers. I finished it in two days. I am excited to see where the story goes because it was amazing.
Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross (Letters of Enchantment Duology)
Divine Rivals has been one of my favorite reads of the year so far. The only reason I don’t have it right now is because I chose to get another book I have been waiting to read for months instead.
Crowns of Nyaxia Duology by Carissa Broadbent
I have heard good things about these books. I started them and enjoyed what I read, so on the list it goes.
Powerless by Lauren Roberts
I started listening to the audiobook on Everand, and I was intrigued. All I know is there is a Hunger Games type of competition, and there’s a potential love quarrel between two princes and a common thief, who has to hide special abilities that she has had since birth.
The Jasad Heir by Sara Hashem
I read a sample of this on my Kindle a few months ago. All I remember is there is an immigrant from a war-torn land who had to immigrate to enemy territory and if anyone finds out who the main character is, they will kill her on sight. It was one of my birthday purchases this year.
The Cursebreaker Trilogy by Brigid Kemmerer
I loved A Curse So Dark and Lonely. I bought the entire series last year for my birthday but haven’t had time to finish it. They are going to be a priority this year.
Courting Darkness Duology by Robin LaFevers
I love the His Fair Assassins Trilogy. This duology is set in the same world. The world is interesting, and I’m excited to potentially see some favorite characters again.
The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
I started listening to this last year and never finished it. I love messy court drama, and this fits the bill. Both books are out now, so I’m excited to see how things turn out.
A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown
This is another duology I’ve been dying to read for years. It’s enemies to lovers who are from warring villages and are assigned to kill each other. It’s time I diversified my reading list a little bit. The author is amazing on X, and I feel like she would be a fun person to get to know.
Obviously this is just the tip of the iceberg for my reading list. The rest will probably be in a few posts in the future.
