Friday Favorites: Books of 2023

By: Mariah Brown

Hello everyone! I can’t believe we are already in 2024. This week’s Friday Favorites, I wanted to focus on the best books I read in 2023. These are in no particular order.

For more prompts, check out the post here.
Bloggers, the linky to add yours is at the end.

One Left Alive by Helen Phifer was an amazing mystery/detective/thriller book. I haven’t finished the series yet, but the next couple of books were even better. The twists are amazing.

A Vow So Bold And Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer was so amazing. I was really hoping for more with the side characters, but I found out there is a side character book, so I totally need to read that. This series was so good, and I highly recommend the Beauty and the Beast retelling.

I started a new Kindle Unlimited series by Jasmine Mas. The first book is called Psycho Shifters. This is an omegaverse series. I absolutely fell in love with the adventures and twists and turns that happen during it. I can’t wait to continue the series.

Hallowed Trail by Alyssa Lynn was such a great book, and I have been reading the second in the series and absolutely love it. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here, but I know that with Alyssa’s writing, it will be amazing.

The Wrong Brother by CM Haines was a first release under this author’s new name. Her other pen name is Cait Marie. I absolutely love the steadiness of this book, and it had me wanting even more in this town. I can’t wait to see what is released next.

Love on the Ice by Bre Rose was such a great book, but I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series. I love Bre’s writing, and I know we won’t be disappointed.

The last book series I want to discuss is Teddy’s Boys by E. J. Frost. I have never read a book by this author, but I absolutely fell head over heels for this series. I am so engrossed that I’m on the third book already.

So, I guess I did do an order. I started back in January and went down to December.

What were some of your great reads of 2024? I’d love to hear from you.
