Happy Wednesday/New Year, everyone!
WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
The Three Ws are:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I read multiple books at a time. I will only list one at a time.
What are you currently reading?
The Secret Of The Serpent by Mikayla D. Hornedo
I’m 80% done and I’m obsessed. This is the second book in the Hearts of Maya series. Readers learn more about the land of Maya. There are more cool characters to meet. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here.
The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes by Suzanne Collins
I’ve been curious about this one for a while now. I’m about 13 chapters in and it’s interesting to see how The Hunger Games evolved to their current state in the original trilogy. I’m excited to see how this story plays out.
Fourth Wing (Dramatized Version) Part I
I started listening to this yesterday. I’ve only listened to the first few minutes, but I enjoyed what I heard, so I’m curious to hear the rest.
What did you recently finish reading?
Wild Tangled Hearts by CM Seabrook
This is a book I received as a Christmas present. It’s a choose your own adventure romance novel. It was fun seeing where the story went based on the different choices. I’m excited to try all of the different options to have a different story each time.
Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Mahrer
I absolutely adored this book. It has an amazing premise of the office culture of working for a villain. The characters are relatable. The book is a brilliant mix of humor and drama. It’s honestly in my top 5 reads for 2023. I’m excited for the sequel in November of this year.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
This has been on my TBR since last year. I’m oddly curious and skeptical to see if I will like this book.
Powerless by Lauren Roberts
I stumbled across this on Everand. From what I’ve gathered so far, it seems to have Throne of Glass vibes. It’s dual POV, so that’s fun. Maybe I’ll find a new favorite.
Crowns of Nyaxia Duology by Carissa Broadbent
I’ve heard amazing things about these books, so I decided to dive into the hype. Hopefully, I don’t regret my decision.
What have you been reading lately? Have you read any of these? What did you think? Let us know in the comments!
