Mariah’s Review of “Rapture in Death” by J. D. Robb

By: Mariah Brown

I swear, as I read each book, the entire series just gets better and better, no matter what the case is.

Roarke and Lieutenant Eve Dallas are finally on their honeymoon. Of course, Eve is still practicing her take downs with electronics and immersing herself in potential situations that could happen in real life for them. Once she is done, Roarke expects time with her, and then a potential suicide happens. Keep in mind that they are on a different planet as this story is still set in the future.

Once they get back to New York, Eve considers somethings may be amiss with some of these suicides, but can she figure it out in time before her boss tells her to make the ruling on the case?

Let’s just say there are so many suspenseful moments within this book, and it doesn’t just focus on one case. There are multiple cases that happen on the street while they go from place to place. Even a bank robbery right by the precinct.

Throughout this book, Roake finally starts to realize just how much Eve actually cares about him through little things as she is not one to open up.

I give this book 6/5 stars for how many twists and turns that happened within the story. I just couldn’t believe all the events that led up to solving the case. I’m not going to spoil how, though. I know a bunch of people would love this series if they love crime-solving books with romance.
