Mariah’s Review of “The Beast Within” by Serena Valentino

My library got this brand new collection of books in the YA section, and I was very intrigued by them because of the covers and titles. I couldn’t believe Serena created a whole series of books based on the perspective of the “villians” in the Disney universe.

The Beast Within is about how the beast in Beauty and The Beast was turned. It was very intriguing to see a story from his point of view. What I loved most was seeing the real change that happened within that we all know and love from the original story. I thought that with the twist of the witches involved, you would love how they got involved. It made the plot even more interesting.

I am not sure how Disney wanted the beast’s story portrayed, but this book answered all the questions and explained a lot. It even included the servants disappearing and why the beast’s ending happened the way it did. If you are looking for answers on the villains, this series is what you want to read.

I give this book a 5/5 stars. As I said previously, it answered every question I ever had and made the story feel complete. I really hope you get a chance to read this book.
