Manuela’s Review of “Dark Magic” by Raluca Narita

I absolutely loved this! I’ve read a lot of good books this year so far, & this is definitely in my top 3. In this, we’re introduced to Primrose Titan, the Goddess of Death and Queen of the Underworld. Enter the calamity. Lucifer, King of Demons, who escapes from his cage in hell. His escape is what prompts the story. Prim is paired up with Atlas, God of Ice & one-half of the Grimm Brothers, to kill Lucifer. Neither are happy about this, but the story gets juicier & juicier from there.

The twists & turns, mysteries, deceptions, & betrayals are done so well. It’s a book that’s hard to put down once you start. There’s adventure, morally grey characters, magic, uncovered truths, hidden memories, & more. The ❤️ aspect was a bit off for me, there were some tender moments for both ships, but it’s more alluding to a potential eventuality. The mix of mythology & fairy tales is superb & the ending was amazing! I can’t wait for book two to discover what happens next. This was a 5-⭐️ read for me, I got sucked in & loved reading it. Remember: dead isn’t dead, until Prim says so.
