The Amethyst’s Wand Shop is a mystery series that has a romance that may be forming without the characters realizing it quite yet. Witches and Stitches is book 2 of Amethyst’s Wand Shop series, and it was just as enjoyable as the first one. The title of this book is very fitting for the plot line.
Amethyst (aka Amy) is consulting with Ambrose at the Paranormal Police Department (PPD). The case she is consulting on is even more intense than the last one. During her work at the PPD, she meets Stacy and Van, and they become friends. This book really followed the sneak peak that was provided in the first book, which I enjoyed.
Throughout this story, the characters are constantly engaging the reader after every turn they make. Amy is still witty, and Ambrose finally seems to loosen up some. The story has a little more grueling details, but it does not take away from the overall plot. It just makes it that much more interesting to know what is going on.
Amy is still able to tag along for this case, even though her wand expertise is not needed. This made me feel like Ambrose really trusted what Amy had to say, which made the movement of the story even more intense.
As a reader, I could definitely tell that Ambrose’s and Amy’s relationship was growing in this book. They more noticeably cared for each other, no matter what happened. I really loved this development and how it made them work even better together. I cannot wait to see how their relationship flourishes.
There was a sneak peak to Book 3 at the end of this one, and it left a lot of questions as to what exactly is going on in the PPD. I cannot wait to read it.
I rate this book a 5/5 stars. I enjoyed the entire book. I do still wish it was longer because that means it would not be over quite yet.
