WWW Wednesday: April 28, 2021

By: Manuela Soares

Happy Hump Day readers! We’ve reached the middle of another, week which makes it time to catch up with what’s being read! WWW Wednesday is a weekly reading update hosted by Taking on a World of Words

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Sunflower Sisters by Martha Hall Kelly

Still working my way through this. Loving it so far, but Kelly’s books take me a bit to get through.

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

This is book three in the Shadow and Bone trilogy. With the show being advertised everywhere, I decided to read the main trilogy to see what all the fuss was about. I enjoyed the first two books and am thus far enjoying this one. I’m about halfway through as I write this, so I’ll likely have it finished in the next couple of days.

What did you recently finish reading?

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Finished reading this last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great follow-up to Shadow and Bone and set up Ruin and Rising nicely. I didn’t expect to like this series as much as I am; I figured it would be one that was overhyped, but it’s really a great set of reads.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Likely, it’ll be Bardugo’s Six of Crows duology that I’ve got on hold from my library or Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski; I picked up a paperback copy not too long ago.

Have you read any of these? What are you reading this week? Let me know in the comments, and have a good week!
