All book bloggers, and readers in general, know that the ever-growing-tbr-pile is a very real struggle. There is no way to keep up. If there is, please share your knowledge! My lists (yes, there are multiple TBR lists going at once) have a variety of genres and authors. In fact, there are many well-known authors that I have yet to finish a book.
Exciting news at the end, so be sure to scroll all the way through!
Here are 5 authors I desperately need to read ASAP:
1. Leigh Bardugo
I know, I know. Please don’t bannish me from the YA book community. I have every intention of reading the Grisha books, I even bought the Six of Crows paperback in the fall. I just haven’t got around to it yet…
2. Holly Black
I have read about 100 pages of The Iron Trial, the first in a series co-written by Cassandra Clare, but that’s it. I have both The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King and haven’t read either of them, even though I know I will love them. I also want to read her other fae series.
3. Victoria/V.E. Schwab
Yes, I know. I get a lot of guilt from this one a lot, and I have zero excuses. I own This Savage Song, A Darker Shade of Magic, and Vicious–all are first books in different series. I am doing a ‘buddy read’ with a friend for Vicious, but we just started and I technically haven’t read anything yet.
4. Neil Gaiman
Long before books completely took over my life, I had heard of several of his books, and I’ve seen the movies based on them, but I didn’t realize they were all the same author. I did read part of Neverwhere a couple years ago, but I was in a slump and didn’t finish. I loved what I read, though, and want to finish.
5. Rick Riordan
I somehow missed out on Percy Jackson growing up, and I’m kind of salty about it. I didn’t know about the series until the movie came out…
So, I am putting together a Riordan Readathon! I am still working out the details, but if you’re interested in being part of it–either as a reader or blogger or both–let me know here!
You have my heart with Leigh and Holly!
