Holy books. I didn’t read as many as planned, but I got sooo many! 64, to be precise. Well, 64 unless I forgot some, which is very possible. It was a very fun month in the book community. Two of my most anticipated books were released and I was able to do a cover reveal for a third. I became a blog partner with BHC Press. I got a staff reviewer position with YA Books Central. I got a personalized signed copy of my most anticipated book by my favorite author. It was a VERY good month.
Now, I didn’t complete my O.W.L.s for the Magical Readathon, but here’s what I did read!
Books I Read
- Fracture Me – Tahereh Mafi
- Ignite Me – Tahereh Mafi
- The Red Scrolls of Magic – Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu — This book was everything. It was my most anticipated book of the year and I ended up getting an ARC and a personalized, signed copy. Clare has been my favorite author for almost a decade, with Magnus and Alec being my favorite characters from the beginning. It seems only right that this is my first signed book by her. Full review here.
- Restore Me – Tahereh Mafi — Finished my re-read of all the Shatter Me books! Well, all but Shadow Me because I had just read it in March and I didn’t want to wait for Defy Me any longer. First half of the series review here. Restore Me review here.
- Defy Me – Tahereh Mafi — FINALLY! It arrived a week, but I finally got Defy Me and it was incredible. This series continues to blow my mind. Full review here.
- The Shadow Queen – C. J. Redwine — I re-read this via audiobook. It was my school’s book club book of the month, but I planned on re-reading it anyway. The Blood Spell was so good that I wanted to jump back into the series and read it all over again. This book is fantastic. I forgot just how much I love Lorelei and Kol! I’ll be reviewing it soon. The Traitor Prince review here. The Blood Spell review here.
- Plus a couple romances
- And I’m in the middle, or almost done with several others!
Books I Want To Read/Finish In May
Okay, so there are so many. However, I’m off school this week and the beginning of new terms are slow. Plus, I’m done with school clubs and such, so I’ll have more time. With the BHC partnership and YABC position, I have a lot of new books to read and review as well.

And now for the long list of books I bought or received. Of the 64 books I got, 50 were free and 7 were $5 or less. That’s pretty great if I do say so myself! I’ll be writing a post soon on how to get books for free.
